Satanta Day Fun Run

Thank you all for coming to the Satanta Day Fun Run and all your enthusiasm! The weather was cool to stand in, but perfect weather to run in. It truly was a "Fun Run"!

Special thanks go to Southwest Fun Time Runners Assn. (SWFTR) especially Emery Swaggerty for bringing the clock and advertising, the Satanta Chamber of Commerce and Haskell County Monitor Chief for advertising, Marsha Martin for registration help, our mayor of Satanta, Mike Folk, for leading the pack on the Gator, Mike Garza for leading us in a prayer, Sarah Kells for singing the National Anthem, Jim and Connie Miller for the fun "Burma Shave style" signs on the Hwy. 190 and Road 220, the Haskell County Sheriffs Dept. for traffic help, and Darlene Dillon for having an ambulance at the ready and luckily not needed,.

Thank you also, Connie Miller of Cimarron River Company and Laura Brown of HorseFeathers for the fun prizes, the goody bags, and the door prize drawing at the store, Shannon Hulett of Intervet Schering Plough Animal Health and the Satanta Rec, for donating great prizes and medals, and to the Satanta Restaurant and Pizza Shack for offering cut rates on Satanta Day for runners presenting their numbers.
